Most small businesses in Bangladesh are run from a paper khata and a phone gallery. That works, right up until it does not — until two people need the same figure at once, or a customer disputes what was written where. Baki.bd exists to replace that with something a shopkeeper can actually operate.

Why it is shaped this way
Four decisions we made early, and kept
A pharmacy needs batch numbers and expiry dates. A restaurant needs a kitchen queue. A farm needs feed cost per shed. These are not the same product with a different logo on it, so we did not build them that way.
Each of the ten applications arrives with its own dashboard, its own menu and its own rules, on one account and one login. A business that runs a shop and keeps its own books takes two of them.
The whole interface is Bengali or English at one click, including the numerals in the reports. A new member of staff reads the screen in the language they think in, which is the difference between software that gets used and software that sits on a laptop in the back.
VAT follows NBR rules, with a rate-wise Mushak 6.3 summary that comes off the bills you already raised rather than being retyped at the end of the month. At your counter a bill settles in cash, by card, or from bKash, Nagad, Rocket or Upay, split across as many of them as one customer needs.
Reports export from the screens you already use, so leaving is never held over you as leverage. Tenant separation is enforced at the query level: another business cannot reach your figures.
What you get on day one
We set it up. We train your staff. Then we get out of the way.
Nobody switches systems because a website asked them to. So the switching is our job, not yours — and it costs nothing.

We are early. Rather than print a number of businesses on this page, the live count is on the front page and it is the real one. When it is worth boasting about, it will say so on its own.
What that buys you: the roadmap is still short enough that a shopkeeper's phone call changes it. Ask for the thing your trade needs and there is a real chance it ships.
